Student Comment
Working with a Diagnosis of Personality Disorder C.L. (July 2007) ‘I wanted to say how pleased I am with the course and how interesting I am finding it. I also wanted to say how impressed I am with the work you have done for individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder.’
Absolutely enjoyed it yes, yes, yes!!! Tell you what Joshua you are an amazing person so please don’t stop teaching this and continue putting the correct information out there. It will take time but eventually it will be understood throughout society. Its thanks to people like yourself and to sites such as yours and BP central, to Doctors such as Dr Heller and Dr Lineman and their sites, that all this information is available and healing is becoming more readily available to patients instead of lives filled with confusion and pain, emotional, mental, physical or social.
If I had a wish it would be that the Government would introduce this to mothers. As only a mother knows that when you have children, you are not only mother to your own but every other child you come into contact with, whatever the age, if this could be taught to mothers, or at least the option, say as the option they get with mmr inoculation, not compulsory rather choice. Then the developmental aspect of these disorders would drastically decline. Please don’t misunderstand as I am not saying all mothers would be interested, but do believe that over half of the mothers would welcome some insight.
I also believe that this course should be a compulsory process with any counselling course, there is very little if any mental health or developmental material included within councelling courses. I meet a lady a few weeks ago who tried to argue the point that to become a counsellor you do not necessarily need to know where a thought is developed, or the effect of thoughts on emotions or feelings or behaviour, my belief is if you don’t understand where, how can you understand why, or vice versa, cause and effect, action and reaction.
Your doing some good work, just goes to prove cause and effect, that something amazingly positive has been born from a negative experience, wishing you all the success you deserve for your hard work, kind regards, Lynne
